The mission of the HTH Graduate School of Education is to prepare reflective practitioner leaders to work with colleagues and communities to develop innovative, authentic, and rigorous learning environments. This mission parallels that of the High Tech High K-12 schools: to provide all students with an extraordinary project-based education and to graduate students who will succeed in post-secondary education and be thoughtful, engaged citizens. The HTH GSE opened in September 2007 at the High Tech High village of schools in San Diego, California.
School Leadership and Teacher Leadership M.Ed Programs
The HTH GSE offers two Master's of Education degree (M.Ed.) programs: School Leadership, for experienced educators who wish to or currently lead a small, innovative school, and Teacher Leadership, for experienced teachers who aspire to deepen their practice and broaden their leadership capacity at their school. Both programs are open to educators within and beyond our network of HTH schools and can be completed as a 2 year part-time or 1 year residency program.

Professional Development
Attend our Residencies and Institutes, focused on topics ranging from project-based learning to exhibitions of student work to leadership for school change, or have HTH faculty lead Workshops at your school. Engage in conversations about teaching, learning, and leadership with educators from around the world through online and face-to-face Collegial Conversations on the second Saturday of every month. Participate in discussions with educational innovators and reformers through our UnBoxed Speaker Series, and peruse musings on educational practice and policy in UnBoxed, the Journal of Adult Learning in Schools.
Leading Schools Program
A one-year hybrid program, blending on-line learning and face-to-face collaboration, designed to transform schools by serving as a "change incubator" for teams of educators engaged in school reform. This program is available to both national and international educators.

Teacher Credentialing Program
High Tech High was the first charter school to be authorized by the state of California to fully credential teachers. At the current time the program is only available to HTH teachers, as well as those who come to us from partner schools beyond the High Tech High community. To learn more about how to become a partner school, contact our Credential Analyst Julie Holmes at juholmes@hightechhigh.org.
